Gayle McMaster
Women of Excellence
2008-2009
Northwest Business

Gayle’s entrepreneurial
spirit began at the age
of 21, when an
awardwinning pizza was
created in her family
kitchen that grew into a
familyowned business,
voted by the Cleveland
Plain Dealer as the Best
Pizza in NE Ohio. Many
lessons were learned
from this early
experience, believe it
can be, treat all people
with kindness, make them
a part of your success,
and true success will
follow in friendships
and opportunities.
Next stop, Houston,
Texas, where another
doorway opened for her
in the legal world,
working for Cooper
Industries and Baker
Hughes, but her artistic
spirit and passion for
helping others drew her
back to marketing. She
took a leap of faith and
a great big breath and
started Performance
Media, helping other
businesses grow by
developing their
marketing campaigns and
exposing their
businesses in
publications associated
with the Theatre
District, Medical Center
and the surrounding
community.
Gayle is what some might
call a “Community
Service Addict.” Her
community involvement is
phenomenal, serving on
the Board of NWBPW four
years and as Publicity
Chair three. She was
emcee at their Fashion
Show benefiting NW
Assistance Ministries
and Montgomery County
Women’s. She’s a member
of Executive Women
International and the
GHCVB Tourism Committee.
She was Treasurer for
Cy-Fair Women’s Network.
She was a volunteer for
the M.D. Anderson
Christmas card project.
She served as Vice
Chairman for the HLSR®,
where she was recognized
for personally raising
over $140,000 and was
honored in 2004 as the
second individual to
exceed $100,000 in sales
and donations since the
inception of her
committee. She’s
completed two MS Society
bike rides to Austin and
ranked 30 out of 7000
for donations she
raised. When Houston was
pounded by Tropical
Storm Allison, she
was instrumental in
creating a company-wide
committee to assist
fellow employees
affected by the floods
raising over $34,296.
Having volunteered for
so many organizations,
it seemed “meant to be”
she joined the Houston
Symphony where she
serves as Manager of
their Group & Corporate
Sales Department. “Let
me entertain you” are
words that describe her
personally and
professionally. The
pleasure Gayle takes in
sharing the joy of music
has led her to achieve
the highest level of
group sales since the
Symphony was founded.
“Success is easy when
you represent an amazing
organization that gives
back to the community.”
Gayle’s philosophy has
always been, there are
no coincidences in life.
Each person, each
doorway opened for you,
grooms you and leads you
to the next place you
are meant to be. Don’t
ignore those whispers!
When opportunities
knock, close your eyes
and jump! They could be
the best experiences of
your life!
